Testimonial
You’ll never know how much my dad and I loved the experience at your home. He told me, many a time, how good it was living there. He loved it when you took him over to visit and on shopping trips.  Your home was just perfect for him and me. For the first time in a few years I felt I could really take vacations again.

If I can ever give a reference for you to a prospective client looking to place a relative in your home, please don’t hesitate to call me.

Your friend, Robin Stau

What is residential assisted living?

Residential assisted living is somewhere in the middle, between In-Home Care and nursing homes. Using this kind of an arrangement, a person is living in a homelike environment, without feeling any sort of hospital discomfort or isolation. So, people that don’t need continuous medical assistance, but do need assistance in their daily activities are the ones who would find an assisted living home appropriate for their needs.

Today, living in an assisted living home is fairly natural for more than one million Americans that actually use the services of a home provider.

Why choose assisted living, what are the benefits?

  • Daily assistance: why struggle with daily activities when someone is there to take care of them all? From housekeeping to cooking, from personal care to direct care, from assistance in basic activities to exercise programs – essentially, all the daily assistance requirements are covered by a good assisted living provider.
  • Homelike environment and comfort: a great home-made dinner, a one weekend family excursion, a grill with the friendly neighbors, watching your favorite TV program… these are just some of the activities that make the resident feel like home.
  • Socializing: human relations are one of the most important elements of a happy life. An elder can develop a healthy social life, by being surrounded by other people of his same age, if living in a group home, or by developing a closer relationship with his care provider.
  • Transportation: usually the assisted living home owner should take care of all the transportation needs of his resident, like regular doctor appointments.
